Apple iPhone SE 4 is Reportedly Going To Be a Flagship-Killer

Apple iPhone SE 4 is reportedly getting a couple of noteworthy upgrades once it debuts in 2023, making it a rightful flagship killer phone.

With that said, does it mean that the next budget Apple device is going to be a threat to most Android phones, which touts themselves to be flagship killers?

Apple iPhone SE 4 Likely To Be a Flagship-Killer

The Cupertino-based tech giant has been offering budget phones for years now, according to a recent report by Gizchina. In fact, the iPhone SE lineup is already in its third generation.

However, the budget phones of Apple never really positioned themselves to be mobile device that flaunts flagship features at affordable pricing. For instance, the iPhone SE 2022 still sports the same look that we last saw from the iPhone 8.

On the other hand, budget Android devices typically rock killer specs mostly offered by flagship phones. Not to mention that their designs usually keep up with the trends, ditching the notch while sporting a multiple-camera setup.

Now that the fourth iteration of the iPhone SE might see the light of day by next year, rumors have begun giving us a glimpse of what to expect. And it looks like Apple is gearing up to provide its budget device a much-needed upgrade.

New Look for the Budget iPhone

As per the latest report by Phone Arena, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to get an upgraded look, similar to the design of the iPhone XR, which debuted back in 2018.

It may not look like the current iPhone 14 series, but the XR design looks more modern than what the SE phones have offered.

iPhone SE 2022 Rumored Specs

It reportedly features the A16 Bionic chip we first saw from the iPhone 14 Pro. But Phone Arena notes that it might come with the A15 Bionic, which the base-model iPhone 14 sports.

On top of that, it rocks a 7.5 watts wireless charging and a 20-watt wired charging support for its 3,000 mAh battery. It might also get water and dust resistance up to the IP67 rating.

As for its rear cameras, it reportedly features a 12-megapixel primary shooter and a 7-megapixel selfie snapper.

The design is expected to look like the iPhone XR, which stays away from the dated look first introduced in the iPhone 6 series. Not to mention that its chipset is likely to be flagship level as it was first seen in the iPhone 14 Pro lineup.
